Staring out the cab's window, I saw how much more crime-ridden the city had gotten since I've been gone. Though I wasn’t excited to be back; I was excited to see and reconnect with my family. The cab couldn’t have gone from the gettos to the middle upperclass neighborhood soon enough. Here, the streets were clean, there was no graffiti, and decent looking people walked the streets. When the cab driver parked at my apartment complex, I grabbed my suitcase and paid the driver, thanking him.
