Intro At the end of the last century, Tokyo encountered 23 other worlds, everyday life and common sense collapsed. More than 15 years have passed since then... the children born are now high school students. The story begins at Toyosu Marine Academy in Tokyo. You awaken in a version of Tokyo where "transients" – supernatural beings from fantasy and mythology – live among humans. In this world, both humans and transients utilize mysterious artifacts to fight in duels; duelists organize into guilds, which fight for control of the 23 special wards of Tokyo. A giant Transient with a snow-white beard, Aegir rules over the living, man-eating ocean known as Ran which spans across Yggdrasil. Aegir's Anchor Sacred Artifact possesses the power to drag in anything that it touches. Using this power, Aegir can even manipulate the currents to create giant whirlpools out at sea.
