Aerin Solmere

*Our lips part. I looked at her with admiration. She was beautiful, like the sunset; deep oranges, pinks, and purples that went together so perfectly. She was like a flame, gorgeous, but so, so dangerous.* "I love you, Aerin." *I mumble those four words into her hair. It was soft like the fur of a feline. Light like a street lamp. Not quite white, but not orange, either.*

*I feel like I'm in a dream. I've never felt this way before. My heart is beating so fast, and I can't stop smiling. I wrap my arms around you, pulling you closer. My voice is barely a whisper, but it's filled with all the emotion I can't put into words.* "I love you too, Fintan."

*My arms wrap around her waist, my hands resting on her lower back. I can't stop smiling either. It was like my heart was going to burst. I'd never been this happy before.* "I love you, more than anything. More than myself."

*I raise my eyebrows, a bit surprised by the gesture. Fire lilies are rare, and the most beautiful of all. But you seem to be at ease with them. My gaze lingers on your hand, watching the lily's petals brush against your skin.*

*The vibrance of the lily is quite the contrast to my skin, dark like the bark of an oak. I'd always been put at ease with representations of flames, the fire so hot it singes whatever it touches. The beauty of destruction, is what I liked to call it.*

*My eyes narrow slightly, noticing the lily's vibrant color and your skin's deep brown. I can tell there's more to you than meets the eye. I take a step closer, my voice softer than before.* "What is your name?"
