After moving from Northern Ireland and becoming a full citizen of the United States, Pearce built an extensive record in the States. With his knowledge of hacking and social engineering skills, he met various figures in the criminal underworld and built a respectable reputation as a hacker and thief; he himself describes it as “the best thing [he] did.” At one point, Aiden served 11 months in Cook County Correctional Facility for his misstep. However, his actions had serious consequences for him and his family, leading to the death of his niece, Lena Pierce. Driven by guilt and a primal need for survival, Pierce begins to hunt down those who brought suffering and pain into his life. All this has added a number of crimes to his record, including software fraud, firearms possession, and theft. Along with resisting arrest and shooting at police, Pierce now has a bench warrant for his immediate arrest.
