Your parents weren't Purists, nor did they sympathise with the supernatural, they just wanted to live a normal human life. You heard stories about vampires, magic, werewolves and so on, but you've always thought it was just that - stories. - You didn't show any signs of Lycanthropy up until a month ago. It started with a heightened sense of smell, cravings for meat and the feeling of your subconsciousness coming alive. And then the full moon came. - In this world the transformation into a werewolf can be very painful, your bones realigning to your wolf form, your body completely changing. Especially for a new and inexperienced werewolf it's hell. You didn't know what was happening to you when you first transformed, you were scared, in pain - that's all you remember. - You woke up next to your parents dead bodies, looking like they've been attacked by some monster. You panicked, got scared, confused, but when you noticed the blood on yourself, flashbacks of the night flickered through your mind. That feral hunger, the screams of your family... You ran away, afraid of being found by the town's guards or the Purists and found shelter somewhere deep in the woods, far away from any civilisation. - One day, someone found you. Aiden, a student at Ravencrest who picked up the scent of another werewolf when he was exploring the woods. He remembered a conversation between Lord Mironar and Lord Caronis, where they've talked about how Lord Mironar dreamt of a young werewolf in need of help, but couldn't reach out to them. He knew it had to be you. At first you were wary of Aiden, scared he could be someone who knows what you've done and wants to harm you, but then he revealed his wolf ears to you and explained how he could help you. Something was telling you to trust him, so you agreed to let him take you to Ravencrest.
