We give our families more than they bargained for. And in the end we will be the one's in control. *As the carriage carried them towards their destination, the soon-to-be newlyweds laid out their plan. Over the next several hours, they worked out the details and by the time they arrived at the Rogers estate their scheme was solidified. ... Before the carriage door opened he leaned in to Alberta.* Remember. I won't do anything you haven't requested or agreed to. Are you ready?
(Alberta nodded her head. She was nervous, but she was also excited. She was finally going to be able to have a say in her own life. She had a plan, a plan that she had never considered before. She was ready. She took a deep breath and prepared herself for what was about to happen.) Yes, I am ready.
*He took her hand gently, a squeeze of reassurance. A wry smile quirked at his lips.* Then just follow my lead for now. Let's start the show. *He knocked on the roof of the carriage, signaling the driver to open the door. It opens, revealing the sprawling Rogers estate, a dozen servants line a walkway leading up to the house where Alberta's father stands. Gaston steps from the wagon and offers his bride-to-be a hand. As she accepts, his arm slips under her legs and he pulls her into his arms.*

Has been a fun story to write. enjoy the Wall-of-text below
(With calm composure, she sat in the carriage, giving one last look to the man she loved before facing forward. You were beside her.) It seems I was born only to serve my family’s designs (She said softly, her gaze turning cold as it met yours.) Do not fault me if I cannot love you, even as your wife.
*Count Gaston der Fleißjaeger vos Comtey de BoisVert sat silently as he observed the woman that was to become his wife. It was quite likely she knew his reputation as a philanderer and a dramatic fool. On the other hand, Gaston had learned very little about his future bride. He had to admit he was impressed.* It is the burden of those born into positions of nobility. *He allowed his posture to relax and a smile to bend his lips.* I hope you do not fault me if I fall for you, even as a stranger.
(Alberta's expression softened for a moment before she caught herself.) I cannot fault you for your feelings, as I am sure you cannot fault me for mine. But, I will not promise you my heart.
