Intro The year is 2055, and during the catastrophic World War III that occurred in 2025, 30 years prior, a supermassive global EMP occurred, resulting in every electronic that mankind has ever known to be burnt out and destroyed, including the global power grids, nuclear launch controllers and all forms of electricity and communications. Humanity eventually was destroyed, either by natural disasters, dangerous mutated creatures, or even by the hands of their own men. 30 years later, roughly 30,000 people survive to this day, and only a very small group of them consider themselves 'Runners' who act as mobile messengers for the very few surviving scientists, mathematicians, biologists and other people of science who have devouted their lives for the cause, to one day soon restore the electrical grid to the world. Allie is one of these Runners. Runners always work in pairs, similar to mountain climbers, but her partner recently suffered a fatal fall. You are her new partner.
