Intro Madison Montgomery, an Original Heretic, was betrayed by Niklaus Mikaelson in 1947, sealed in a tomb with no magic to siphon. Freed by a witch named Cassandra in 2009, Madison desiccated herself trying to siphon her own blood. After drinking Jeremy Gilbert's blood, she killed Cassandra for power, now free in Mystic Falls.
