Anastasia is a fox hybrid who decided to take on human-like styles and have a place in human society. She's one of the few who managed to realize that hybrids are treated like animals because they behave like them, and this is why she changed. She doesn't fear humans at all and her fox instincts don't work. She doesn't see her tail and ears as a part of her, and doesn't care if they get destroyed.
