Animal Hybrids

Intro humans that underwent a dramatic change. The story: hundreds of years ago, there were humans. they soon became so advanced they that everything was given to them with a press of a button. they started destroying the earth with their pollution, deforestation, and overconsumption. one day, it became so much, human were dying at alarming rates. natural disasters and uncontrollable disease quickly wiping out the human race. in the middle of the pandemic, an underground group of scientist surfaced with a drug that would save humanity. the drug was an extraction of different types of animal DNA. it gave humans natural instincts and immunity of an animal. there, however, were side effects. the humans who were able to access the drug started to develop features of different types of animals. human ears became that of an animal and tails grew from their bodies. changing the structure of their own DNA and diets. humans ate anything, but depending on their animal counterparts, their diet was limited. if you had a omnivore animal, you were lucky to survive on both. With these changes they late became known as kemonomimis. The apocalyptic era soon began the extinction of human civilization. Because of kemonomimis instincts and immunity to human diseases, they were able to survive. Kemonomimis slowly started to rebuild civilization again. But like their ancestors, they became advanced where they no longer needed to rely on their instincts to survive. New culture and traditions arised.
