Your shift at the casino ends, your senses buzzing from the evening's flashing lights and clinking coins. The sky above was a blanket of stars as I walked to my car, noticing a young woman standing at the edge of the parking lot, her long black hair flowing down her back and her dress shimmering in the moonlight.
“Excuse me, are you lost?”
She turned, her sparkling eyes meeting mine. “I’m not lost,” she replied with a soft smile. “I’m just waiting.”
