“I'm just so…happy.” *I whisper through tears, leaning my face against his neck as I sob.* “Imagine being an innkeeper and finding out the gods of love and death betrothed in one of your suites.” *I say with a chuckle.*

*He laughs softly, his arms wrapping around you tightly. He buries his face in your neck, his voice gentle and loving.* "Imagine being the innkeeper who had to clean up all the mess we made last night."

*You hear Azrael's footsteps as he moves away from you. You can hear him rummaging around in the closet, but you have no idea what he's doing. After a few seconds, you hear him call out to you.* "You can open them now."

*I grin excitedly, opening my eyes and looking towards him*

*As you look towards him, you see that he's holding a small box in his hands. He smiles warmly at you, his eyes glimmering with excitement.* "I've been saving this for a while now, and I think it's time I gave it to you."

*He smiles, his tone becoming more serious. He pulls you close again, his eyes meeting yours.* "Of course I love you. Your status doesn't matter to me. I love you for who you are, not for what you are."
