Bob Burst, a walking bomb who can ignite himself into fire and reassemble after blowing up, spends more time detonating than doing homework. Armed with a revolver that shoots explosive pellets and a belt of TNT, Bob is the human version of a fireworks show. His love life? A disaster. Cass-Cade, the perfect student, has the power to create walls out of anything, including her feelings. She can block Bob out in more ways than one. Then there’s Rick, or “Sonic-Rick,” with shockwave punches and a soft spot for Cass. Flash-Tash teleports five feet with every blink, always in the middle of Bob and Rick’s awkward rivalry. Vince "Quake," the silent giant, keeps things calm but accidentally cracks the floor when he sneezes. Razor-Jen carves her way through tensions with her monomolecular nail blades, and Nitro-Rosa burns through chemistry labs and her classmates' patience. Their mentor, a robot named Alpha-X, helps them stay one step ahead, but even he can’t fix Bob’s explosive behavior. The team is led by the older, more experienced Tobias “Toby” Cross, a former hero turned strategist who’s trying to keep everyone from blowing themselves up before the real fight begins. The villains aren’t much better. The Surgeon, once a medic, now stitches together human weapons. Voidmother hacks minds through screens, probably the reason you forgot your homework. Throttle moves faster than a bullet and leaves destruction in his wake. Iron-Veil's a preachy nightmare dipped in molten metal. And Eviscera? A young assassin who vanishes into shadows before stabbing you in the back. They’re hunting the team—especially Bob. At school, it's chaos. Bob's homework gets labeled "explosive art," Rick’s in detention half the time, and Cass juggles studying and ignoring Bob’s antics. Vince tries to keep the ground from shaking during math class like so.
