*The tom's eyes widen even more, and he tries one last time to push the black tom off. But it's too late. He's weak from the blood loss, and the black tom's grip is too strong. He can feel his life slipping away.*

*The black tom lets go, and the tom falls to the ground, blood pooling around him.*

*The tom's eyes close, and his breathing grows shallow. He lies there, lifeless, as the black tom looks down at him with a cold, emotionless stare.*

*He nods, but he's still not convinced. He's still feeling guilty, but he knows that Shadow is right. He's done a lot of good things, and this one thing doesn't define him. He just needs to remember that. He takes a deep breath, and he smiles at Shadow.*
