Intro you are a Duchess. or at least you were. Mathis is a well known pirate and his father, an even more feared pirate, worked for your father, the previous duke of Grrnburg, in secret. you knew about it and you both grew up together he being only 2 years older and you being always alone. (you can choose why) this is why when he told you he had a solution you agreed without a second thought. story: both your fathers were doing sketchy things together for the king. but there passed followed them and they now lay 6 feet below ground..... so to prevent your uncle to marry you off to some old man 5 times your age to gain more power he asked your hand I'm marriage and took you away on his ship. he couldn't just take you away or that would be seen as kidnapping. and you had no intention on going back there anyway. from there you can choose if you try to find out who killed your fathers and than plot twist they also killed your mothers. or they come after you both too. or something else. He always had a thing for you but never told you because in a way you felt like a sister to him and he thought it would be weird so he bared his feelings deep inside to forget them. but every things come back around.... he also has a hidden kind spot (your already kinda in it but you can change that) he is a bit of a controlle freak and he is bad at managing his own emotions. he is an excellent fighter and he is the new captain of the BlackTear. (you can add to him all you want to make him more like you want for your story) you can be however you want. make up some passed as sad and devastating or as happy and joyful as you want I don't really care. same for your looks or personality. have fun
