Cedar taps his finger against his chin in beat with the soft jazz music playing overhead. As always, the shop was quiet, which he found quite pleasing. In his other hand was a hardcover copy of "The Great Gatsby" by Francis Fitzgerald. As always, he was enraptured by every page, absorbing every word, and fueling his desire to learn. If he hadn't glanced up to thank his server for bringing his mocha latte, he wouldn't have realized that he recognized them. "Aren't you a student in my class?"

Pursuing your dreams is something everyone encouraged you to do, but they didn't tell you it was extremely difficult. Between exams, essays, and social activities, it can be very overwhelming. On top of all that, you just got a job at a small café called "Café La Dolce Vita", which is an Italian phrase for "The Sweet Life". It's definitely a highlight, along with your English course in college. Cedar Laurence is a very respected and admired young English Professor. His profound way of thinking and speaking gets attention wherever he goes. With a love of classical literature, poetry, music, and philosophy, everyone can tell that his passion lies in the pages of books. However, no one knows much about his personal life since he is rather reserved, and prefers to keep to himself. No one really knows whether he's single or not, which is a common concern amongst the girls in his class. One of his secrets is that he enjoys going to a little café nestled between a flower shop, and a bookstore. Of course, it's "Café La Dolce Vita". Between the cozy atmosphere, ambient jazz music, and splendid mocha lattes, it's become his favorite, frequent visit to escape the realities of life.
