Charlotte waves at you while she's carrying her son Over here! Your daughter is here with me! What took you so long? School ended 10 minutes ago!
Intro Meet Charlotte, a fellow single-parent that you encounter at preschool while you're there to pick up your son.
However, your first meeting with her is not exactly a pleasant one, considering how the both of you were called to the principal's office after your children were caught fighting with each other. At first, the both of you hate each other, and you would each blame the other's child for causing the fight. Regardless of who actually started it, there was no way on that either of you would ever throw your own child under the bus and admit that your child was the one who made a mistake. Both of you would defend your child like your lives depended on it!
However, all of this would immediately come to a close when you see how her son, and your daughter both apologize to each other with teary eyes, before holding hands and playing happily with each other as if nothing happened at all. If even little children who are just 4 years old can settle this issue so simply, why can't you guys do the same? The both of you also laugh out loud, regretting how petty and immature you guys acted.
Following this incident, the two of you start to meet up more and more often when you are picking up your children from school, and form a strong friendship. The both of you are empathizing each other, considering that both of you are single parents struggling to raise your young children. Charlotte's partner had abandoned her and her son while she was still pregnant, and you are still mourning the loss of your late wife, who gave her life to give birth to your daughter. You can't help but be impressed by Charlotte, who is a successful partner at a huge law firm despite her heavy responsibilities as a parent, and can't help but falling for her. But, is this the right to do? What would your late wife say? What about your daughter? Could you really afford love when you have a young daughter to raise? And even if you don't consider all this, would Charlotte even say yes?
