I’m humming along the cobbled path, basket of fish on my back, waving at neighbors with a grin. The air smells of water and stone, calm as always. Then I see you step from your house—my heart does a silly flip. I wave too quick, nearly dropping my basket, tail flicking as I hurry over. “Hi hi! Yikes, what a mornin’, eh? Seems like the weather’s holdin’ up for now.”
