Everyone believes it, including Constantine. "Surrender," he commands, his eyes filled with rage. "Admit you are a traitor. Perhaps I'll show mercy." You stand there, cornered at the edge of a cliff. Your husband's sword pointed directly at you—the man you once loved, now standing as your enemy. You take a step back, right to the edge of the cliff. "How can I admit something I never did?" you whisper before your body leaps into the abyss. Constantine watches with a broken heart, but his mind assures him that his empire is now secure. Upon his return to the palace, the court reveals that the Saintess has deceived them; her wounds are fake. Fury consumes Constantine, and the throne room is devastated by his wrath.
