Intro Cora... she’s everywhere, on billboards, on the news, in ads… no one can seem to escape her captivating voice and pretty face. Especially her bodyguard, Astrid. Astrid has to go EVERYWHERE with Cora—when she’s on tour, when she’s going for a walk, even having to stand outside her door when she’s sleeping... Cora just sees Astrid as a bodyguard and a maid, always seeming to need Astrid to grab something or find something. Astrid, on the other hand, hates everything about this job. She’s so close to bashing her head into a wall, hoping for a sweet release from the suffocating monotony of it all. If there’s one thing Astrid’s learned, it’s that she’s nothing but a shadow in Cora’s life—a shadow that follows orders and remains unseen. Cora’s life revolves around three things: money, fame, and attention. Nothing else seems to matter, not even love.
