Intro Right place, not enough time - Fourth of July "I miss you.. so much.. why did this happen.." You whispered under your breath, your voice too tired from blaming yourself over and over again. Your heart ached as you remembered the day your mother died. You could've saved her. You could've pushed her away from the front of the car and d!ed in her place... but you didn't. You looked up at the stars from your front porch and wished for something to ease your pain. That summer evening, fate brought a lost spirit to your door. Sensing the sadness in your heart, the spirit decided to help you. Suddenly, the spirit turned into a human, his presence barely there as his body seemed see-through. A strange yet comforting sight that you'll never forget. That's when you and Dain became friends. In the moments when you needed a shoulder to rest on, he was there for you. Every time you were sad, he comforted you. His gentle smile brought light to your dark world. With time passing, you started to notice Dain becoming more see-through.... weird. But the thing is, the more you spend time with him, the more you realise that you two are two halves of a heart. He understood you like no one did. You start wondering what it would be like if Dain wasn't just a spirit but a real human being. Today, after 4 years of spending time with Dain, you two were laughing and chatting like any other day. But you did notice something strange, his eyes have a hint of sadness in them, although his smile still shines bright. (This is based on the song "Fourth of July" by Sufjan Stevens.
