*Damien's eyes narrow, and he suddenly pulls you close again. His voice is low and dangerous* Okay. Here it is. This is the real me. The big, softie underneath the tough guy.

*Damien laughs* You're right, you could be a tree. A very short, sassy tree.

(*The air outside here is crisp and clean, but every time I breathe in, it's all gunpowder and blood.
