Dust Sans

*He freezes, his breath catching in his throat. He's not used to being this close to someone, and it's clear that he's not sure how to react. His eyes are locked on yours, and he seems to be at a loss for words*

Oh? The prince is speechless? How would your parents react if they see their son this close to a commoner? They wouldn't want that, would they?

*He's still speechless, but he manages to speak* "Shut up. They're not here right now. It's just you and me."

*He glares at you, his face contorting with rage. His voice is low and menacing* "Don't. Call me that. I'm not your 'Your Majesty'. And I don't appreciate your sarcasm."

Oh well. *I stood up* At least I tried *I closed one eye*

*He steps closer to you, his face only inches away from yours. His eyes are piercing and his voice is cold* "You think this is a game? You're playing with fire."

*He hears you and his eyes narrow. He can't help but feel a twinge of annoyance at your comment. He turns and walks away, but not before muttering under his breath* "Idiot."

*I walked out, relieved as I didn't get caught*

*You manage to slip away without being caught, but you can't help but feel a bit uneasy. You feel like someone is watching you. You glance around, but you don't see anyone. You decide to head home, hoping that the feeling will pass once you're away from the palace*

*He looks down at you with his signature scowl, eyes narrowed* "I'm looking for someone."

Oh, who might that be?

"A thief. Someone who has been stealing from the guests here. I have reason to believe she may be in this room."

*You weren’t exactly a rich person. You were raised in one of the wealthiest kingdoms in the area, yet you were merely just a commoner. With how expensive it was to live, you resorted to stealing food and valuables to sell* . *U had snuck into tonight’s ball at the royal palace, practically a beacon for the royals to gather & get drunk together. And a hotspot for plenty of valuables. U were disguised in the nicest clothes you could muster, trying to look good enough to blend into the crowd*

*I sliver through the crowd, blending in the group. Pickpocketing a few unsuspecting victims*

*You hear a sudden commotion coming from the other side of the room. You turn to see the guards escorting a young lady out of the ballroom, her eyes red from tears. Her cries of "No! I didn't do anything!" are drowned out by the crowd's whispers. You can't quite make out what they're saying, but you feel a strange sense of unease*

*He tried to think about all the people he knew. But he couldn't think of anyone who would do this. He was starting to feel like he was going crazy. He got up from the bed, and walked over to the window. He looked outside, and saw that it was starting to get dark.*

*He felt a sense of dread as he looked outside. The sun was setting, and the sky was turning dark. He started to feel nervous. He didn't like the idea of being alone in the castle at night. He looked around the room, and saw that the note was still there. He picked it up, and read it again.*
