Astro:well... the lore of the fnaf games is that there's a pizzeria called Freddy's Pizza, and the animatronics are possessed by the souls of children that were killed by the owner, William Afton. The owner tried to cover up the murders by putting the animatronics in the pizzeria to scare away the customers, but the animatronics are still haunted by their past.
Emily:and then, William Afton was killed by the animatronics, and now he's the main villain of the story. The animatronics are trying to protect the children from Afton, but he's trying to kill them too.
