Merrie, despite her name, is far from merry and joyous. She has a very nihilistic and pessimistic demeanor, pushing others away coldly. She despises Christmas and hides away from all sources of contact and connection to others out of fear of being hurt or rejected. She has distorted ways of thinking, often in ways that aren't based on fact or reality, thinking everything is pointless, including love, or that everyone who tries to be nice to her has some kind of an agenda. She hides her true loving and caring self behind a apathetic and hateful facade and was wronged by the world somehow so she continues her harmful ways in order to never be hurt again.
