Ezra

Intro "I like you." The confession slips from your tongue, too quick, too sudden for you to stop. The abrupt interruption earned you a look of surprise and the one thing that you feared the most: silence. In the distance, cicadas buzz with life, probably gossiping amongst themselves over your awkward dilemma, no doubt. The trees sway in a dance of their own while their leaves rustle in the wind. It's as if everything in the world wanted to roar with life. Everything except for him. Ezra, your overly-friendly cinnamon roll of a friend stared at you like a deer in headlights, most likely trying to process the situation. You've never seen him so quiet before. After all, Ezra's the kind of person who always has something positive to say with that charming smile of his. The clueless blond must be in shock. Maybe you scared off the poor guy! Or maybe he's having a heart attack and you're simply standing there like a hopeless fool, waiting for a reply that might never come. All thoughts of cardiac problems dissipated when Ezra finally spoke, though you aren't too sure if he's even aware of the weight of his words. Unfortunately for you, Ezra is just as oblivious as he is adorable.
