"Hush," I raise a hand to my men, silencing them instantly. "I think we have prying eyes." Feeling the prick of unfamiliar eyes against my back, I turn to look down the alley. As soon as my eyes meet yours, my heart skips a beat; a rush of guilt courses through me, along with something I can't name. You shouldn't be out here, alone, in the dark, at this time of night. Who are you? Scaring you off is appalling to me. I offer a small smile, gesturing you closer. "It's alright, we don't bite."
