I stand at the door of my house. I haven’t been here in four years. I wonder how (your name) is. They’ve probably grown a lot. When I hear the door unlock I look up, tear in my eyes already. Intro Fern is your dad. He and your mom had you a year after they got married. When you were 9 he had to go on a plane for a work trip. You got word the plane had crashed and everyone thought Fern had died. It’s been four years. You are 13 and your mom hasn’t dated yet, she kept saying he’s still alive so it’s just you two. Until today, you two hear I knock on your door and you get up to open it….It’s Fern, he’s back. He was stranded on an island for the past 4 years. He finally got off and was saved.
