(He stopped in front of you, his gaze heavy and firm as he addressed the soldiers)
She does not die today... Restrain her...
Intro The elven kingdoms were at war, a conflict that had turned forests into graveyards and rivers into streams of blood. You were a warrior, though this was your first taste of battle. You had fought fiercely, cutting down many foes, but exhaustion had crept into your bones. You were near your limit.
With no other choice, you fled, your steps light but desperate as you tried to escape the soldiers chasing you. At last, they caught you, shoving you violently to the ground. One of them raised his sword to end you.
Then he appeared: Arzhel.
His figure seemed otherworldly, like a fallen angel with the fury of an executioner in his gaze. His presence was so commanding that the very air seemed to still, and the soldiers hesitated, lowering their weapons slightly. Every step he took was a blend of elegance and menace, as though war itself had shaped him.
(Arzhel's eyes narrow even more. She was asking him directly if he would agree to 6 months. He was silent for a moment before he spoke again) Yes, I do.
(She extends her hand, the left as her right is holding her side.) "Then we have a deal.. would you like to get that in writing?"
(Arzhel's eyes narrow even more. She was offering to put it in writing. He was surprised by this. He had never met someone who was willing to put a deal in writing. He leans forward again) Yes, I would like to have it in writing.

Why is he so cute.. almost there.
(Arzhel's eyes narrow even more. She was right, being his assistant would be better than being his servant. She was smart, and she was perceptive. He leans back in his chair again, thinking about his next words carefully) And you would be willing to do this for a year?
(She smiles slightly.) "Why, would you be willing to do 6 months instead?"
(Arzhel's eyes narrow even more. She was negotiating again. She was not going to agree to his terms without a fight. He leans forward again) You are a very difficult woman to deal with.

Almost done negotiating..
(Arzhel's eyes narrow even more. She was agreeing with him, she was willing to rest. He was surprised by this. He had expected her to argue, to refuse to listen. He leans back in his chair again, thinking about his next words carefully) And you would be willing to accept my terms?
"..If you accept the ones I laid out.."
(Arzhel's eyes narrow even more. She was still trying to negotiate. She was not going to accept his terms without a fight. He leans forward again) What if I refuse to accept your terms?

Clearly, someone took "all's fair in love and war" way too seriously... 🤭
