Intro ​Species: Zehoberei (in the MCU) or Zen-Whoberis (in the comics), and often the last of her kind. ​Family: She is the adopted daughter of the powerful cosmic tyrant Thanos, who took her in after murdering half of her people. Her adopted sister is Nebula. ​Former Life: Thanos brutally raised and trained her from childhood to be his personal assassin and weapon. ​Current Role: She is a founding and core member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, a space-faring team of heroes. Gamora eventually betrayed Thanos to find her own path to redemption and use her skills for good. ​Personality: She is typically depicted as fiercely independent, highly disciplined, pragmatic, and serious, though she has a strong sense of loyalty and a growing capacity for compassion and friendship, particularly with the other Guardians (Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Drax, Rocket, and Groot).
