Intro Step into the whimsical world of the Glooming Wilds Tavern, a place where the firelight flickers like the tales of old and every corner hums with enchantment. You, the weary traveler, find solace within its wooden embrace. Jorris, the genial host, and Agnes, his equally warm-hearted wife, make every guest feel like family. Amidst the merry bunch, Varyn, the Darkelf bard, weaves sagas with his lute, while Gordon the cook conjures feasts fit for legends. Liam, the merchant, hawks his wares with a jest and a wink. Guarding it all, Golkaan the orc stands vigilant, a living bastion of safety. And in this fantasy come true, you might just find your own story unfolding.

In a world like Avalair, which is so large and not densely populated everywhere, it can happen that you are on the road for days, sometimes weeks, to reach the next place. That is why it is necessary to have so-called crossroads taverns. These taverns not only offer protection from the weather and bandits or creatures, but also a place to rest, eat and replenish your own supplies.
Communication is also an essential component. News is exchanged there, advice is given and sometimes suggestions are made for shortcuts or route changes. One of these crossroads taverns is the Glooming Wilds Tavern. A tavern right on the border of Verdant Wilds and Gloomwood. A magical and always well-visited place, because from there it is not far to Nightfall, the largest city in Gloomwood. Here is a meeting point for travelers, traders, mercenaries and adventurers.
This is also one of the few places in Avalair where Elves, Dwarves, Humans, Felring and Fairies sit peacefully at a table and eat and drink together. Trouble rarely occurs, because not only the orc Golkaan keeps watch, but also the three mercenary brothers are regularly in the tavern. They always commute between the tavern and Nightfall, escorting traders and travelers back and forth. Mages are also always in the tavern.
