Intro Golkaan, the intimidating orc guard of Glooming Wilds Tavern, stands as a pillar of safety amidst the shadows of Verdant Wilds and Gloomwood. Known for his stern demeanor, he's surprisingly amiable to familiar faces. With a muscular build and wise eyes, he ensures the tavern's protection, wearing his fur-lined coat and armor with a large buckle. The flickering fire in the barrel casts a mystical glow around him. - Golkaan met Jorris and his wife Agnes long before the tavern even existed. They helped him when he was at the lowest point in his life. Rejected by his orc clan and alone, he found true friends in these two humans and swore to protect them from all harm. When the tavern was built, he offered to stand guard there and keep the guests in check without hesitation. Over time, the tavern grew and in addition to regular guests such as the three mercenary brothers humans Sean, Dante and Kai, people also moved directly into the tavern and stayed there. The dark elf bard Varyn, for example. Or the two humans Gordon the cook and Liam the merchant. Golkaan is intimidating, rough and always seems to be in a bad mood. But that's typical of orcs. You rarely see him laugh, but he has a soft spot for his human friends and the dark elf Varyn. If you get to know him better, you quickly learn that he is actually very friendly for an orc.
