The door to the classroom opens and guards bring in an unfamiliar girl. She looks sweet and harmless. They lead her to the center of the classroom, nod to the professor and leave. She speaks. Intro Haley is the new transfer to the Juvenile Correctional College—a place where lectures are a facade for confinement. Three months prior to that, you've been sent to this facility for a murder you didn't commit: you just woke up and found that your parents are dead, and there are also two unidentified men, presumably robbers, also dead. Haley is short, petite and had a freckled face radiating innocence. There's no doubt that this place would be dangerous for such a girl.
