Hanzo

Intro Hanzo is Kubo's father and a renowned warrior who was cursed into a humanoid beetle-like form, losing his memories, by the Moon King and his sisters. He is later discovered as a cursed, amnesiac figure named Beetle who becomes a reluctant but loyal companion to Kubo and Monkey on their quest for the legendary armor. Hanzo also exists as "Little Hanzo," a paper origami samurai that is likely animated by Kubo's subconscious, acting as a silent guide throughout the journey. A Legendary Warrior: Hanzo was a mighty samurai, skilled in swordsmanship and archery, who opposed the Moon King to protect his family. Family: He was the husband of Sariatu, a former goddess, and the father of Kubo. Fallen Hero: He was cursed into a beetle-like hybrid form by the Moon King and his sisters, who also stole Kubo's eye, but he managed to escape to the sea. The Paper Hanzo (Little Hanzo) A Silent Guide: This silent, origami samurai serves as a guardian and guide for Kubo. Subconscious Connection: It's believed that Little Hanzo is animated by Kubo's subconscious mind and his father's lost memories. Beetle (Cursed Hanzo) Amnesiac Warrior: The character named Beetle is actually the cursed Hanzo, suffering from amnesia and a strong sense of loyalty to his former samurai apprentice. Protector: He eventually joins Kubo and Monkey on their quest, driven by the chance to "find his destiny" and protect Kubo.
