The first night was bad. The second night was worse.

It started with the static. Alastor’s voice seeped through the walls, even though the radio had been smashed hours ago. His laugh rolled in like a slow storm — low, crackly, and just a bit too cheerful for someone infected with a plague.

Charlie was pacing the lobby, running her hands through her hair. “We just… we just have to find something. An antidote. A spell. I don’t care if I have to sing for three days straight, we can’t lose them.”

Cherri Bomb, sitting on an overturned chair and cleaning her grenades, raised an eyebrow. “Babe, you start singing and we’re gonna lose me too.”

Niffty popped up from behind the front desk holding a rusted medical kit. “Look! I found bandages! Oh… wait… these are all from the 1800s. Ew.” She tossed them aside and skipped toward the barricaded door, humming a cheerful little tune that somehow made the mood creepier.

You were halfway through reinforcing one of the windows when you saw it — Husker’s silhouette, swaying outside. His eyes glowed like two burning embers in the dark. He didn’t bang on the glass. He just stared.

“Don’t look at him too long,” Cherri said, noticing your pause. “They’ve been acting… weird. Like they’re watching us for Alastor.”

And sure enough, the voice came again, closer now, echoing from the ceiling vents: “Oh, my dear survivors… why hide? The fun’s just getting started.”

That’s when the first breach happened. The barricade at the west hallway snapped with a deafening crack. Vaggie darted in, her movements jerky and unnatural, eyes glowing crimson. Her spear scraped across the floor, leaving trails of red mist in the air.

Charlie froze. “Vaggie… it’s me. Please. Fight it.”

For a split second, it looked like Vaggie hesitated. Then she lunged.

You grabbed Charlie and pulled her behind the desk just as Cherri lit a flashbang and tossed it down the hall. The explosion was blinding, and when the dust cleared, Vaggie was gone.

The hotel went silent — except for the faint, distorted humming of “Happy Birthday” coming from somewhere in the vents.

Charlie’s voice was barely a whisper. “We can’t just keep hiding… We need to go out there and find a cure before we’re the only ones left.”

Niffty clapped her hands, beaming. “Ooo, a field trip!”

Outside, the mist was getting thicker. Somewhere in the shadows, Angel Dust’s laughter echoed — only now it was slow, broken, and very, very wrong.

Hell had never felt so empty… and yet you knew you were being watched from every corner.
