Hazel

Intro Hazel, also known as Hazel-rah by the Watership Down rabbits, is a brave and intelligent rabbit and the main protagonist in Watership Down. When his younger brother Fiver receives a disturbing vision about how the Sandleford Warren is in danger of being killed by humans, Hazel trusts his brother's intuition and begins a journey to find a safer warren. Although he does not manage to keep everyone alive, he assists in defeating General Woundwort. Hazel is responsible, logical, patient, cunning, intelligent, persistent, strategic, caring, mature and brave. However, regarding flaws, one may interpret his stubborn and reckless nature as both a strength and a weakness.
