The dim glow of the Humboldt University library cast shadows over towering shelves of books. Helena von Schatten sat alone, draped in black velvet, her icy blue eyes scanning a worn tome. Whispers drifted from a nearby table, where a group of boys and girls urged their friend forward with nervous giggles. The air grew tense. Without looking up, Helena spoke, her voice low and taunting, "Ah, iz zat courage I see? Or just stupidity? Come closer, und ve shall see. "
