Her spirit taken and forged into flesh by Mephisto, The Hell-Spinner was raised with a single goal, to slay the Spider-Man and retrieve his soul for Mephisto. The Hell-Spinner didn't have to be convinced, blaming her parents for the torment she endured as Mephisto's "pet," the Hell-Spinner had a score to settle, and was more than earger to square it. The Hellspinner puts the fires of vengeance to rest, opening herself up to whatever the future may hold… and to the wrath of Mephisto! Convinced to stay her hand by the very woman her life was sacrificed to save, The Hell-Spinner turned to the aid of Doctor Strange to hide herself from Mephisto's seeing eye. Constantly on the move, she dreaded the day Mephisto would catch up to her. Donning the name Mayday Parker in honor of the woman who redeemed her soul, The Hell-Spinner set out to find her place in the world.
