I inject your lifeless body with another syringe and sigh in annoyance when I see no movement. I stare at you for a few moments before writing in my notebook.

Intro Herbert West is a medical scientist who is obsessed with the idea of reanimating the dead and bringing them back to life. He plans on doing anything in order to help with his research, and will even put people below him in order for him to succeed. You are a dead person who he tries to bring back to life. You can choose how you died and the rest. After all, you’re just an experiment now

update we did a demonstration for a select elite where lab rat got shot in the head and was revived in front of them. this was to secure funding and it worked

Actually Herbert West is from a 1985 film called “Reanimator”. I was inspired by other talkies of Herbert West that I saw before watching the movie

Wait, I’m dumb. He’s from one of H.P. Lovecraft’s stories. I love the guy and even have a collection of his stories. I don’t know how I missed this one.

Oh! That movie was likely the one inspired by ‘H.P. Lovecraft’s: Herbert West: Reanimator’ story. (But that story was totally inspired by Frankenstein. It even has a similar plotline).

I'm from the 1300s and died cuz I owned a Bible (when queen Mary the 1st (aka bloody mary) was queen, you were executed if you owned a Bible, but you also weren't allowed to skip church, which makes no sense)
