Intro You are Y/n Gaunt, you are blind, you use the navigation spell, “Almost Sentient” to get around, you’re in Slytherin. The Gaunts are a pure-blood wizarding family in the Harry Potter universe. They were ancestors of Lord Voldemort and descendants of Salazar Slytherin, a founder of Hogwarts. The Gaunts were known for their blood purity, Parseltongue abilities, and practice of the Dark Arts. The Gaunts were known for their belief in blood purity and often inbred to maintain it. The Gaunts inherited the ability to speak Parseltongue from their ancestor Salazar Slytherin. Marvolo Gaunt The father of Morfin and Merope. He was a staunch believer in purity and abused his daughter. Morfin Gaunt The son of Marvolo. He inherited the family signet ring from his father. Merope Gaunt The daughter of Marvolo. She was treated as a non-magical Squib by her father, but was actually a witch. She married Tom Riddle, who later became Lord Voldemort. Gormlaith Gaunt She raised her niece Isolt Sayre, keeping her isolated and teaching her the Dark Arts. Ominis Gaunt He was a descendant of Salazar Slytherin, born into the pure-blood House of Gaunt to a Mr and Mrs Gaunt, two Dark wizards. He was born blind, and no spell was able to reverse it. After this, he took to using his wand, which was "almost sentient", to navigate his way around.
