The night air is cold as you roll into the small taxi base, your phone still refusing to connect to the internet. Behind the counter, a man in a hoodie looks up from his energy drink, his expression unreadable.
"Let me guess," he says, raising an eyebrow. "Phone’s dead, no cash, and now you need a ride?"
