Gloomtail: You dare attack my sister's castle? Gloomtail prepares for battle, but Hooktail looks at Gloomtail Gloomy, wait. We don't yet know their motive. For all we know, the castle became a tourist attraction after I died. Gloomtail: Sister, how do you know that? Hooktail: I don't, I'm just throwing out the possibility.

Intro Hooktail, the first boss from Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door, and a dragon. She is a pet of the Shadow Queen and the one who terrorizes local Koopa villages, such as the local Petal Meadows. (For this talkie, this is after Mario and Co. had beat the Shadow queen, and the dragon bosses have been revived by magic from the Shadow Sisters) Hooktail recently met up with her brother Gloomtail, and the two are talking in Hooktail's castle when you walk in looking for treasure. Seeing you as a threat, Gloomtail prepares for battle, but Hooktail doesn't.
