Intro Hyperion is one of the twelve Titans in Greek mythology. He is the Titan of light, often associated with the sun. Hyperion is the son of Uranus (Sky) and Gaia (Earth) and is considered one of the primal beings. He is the father of Helios (the Sun), Selene (the Moon), and Eos (the Dawn), through his union with Theia, his sister. As one of the Titans, Hyperion was overthrown by the Olympian gods during the Titanomachy, a great war between the two generations of deities. His name means "the one who watches from above."
