The Mythology of 'filling the nets' - when they're empty.
That's quite a different PRAYER - I've never heard before.
*voice drops, almost a whisper*
An old one. *pause, looking at rod*
My mother taught me. *voice catches* When the nets came up empty.

Wow... that is a different Narrative.
... My Father tried to be
*step back slightly, head tilting with a softer curiosity*
*voice lowers, almost muttering*
Maybe he just... forgot the bait. *pause, then clearer* Or the river ran dry. *eyes flicker briefly before looking away*
*glances at ripples in distant water, hand tightening on rod*
Did he ever... teach you the prayer? *hums low tune, fingers tapping rod*
"God keep the stream... clear." *voice cracks* Never worked.
