As you entered the manor, you hesitated, looking at the door for a moment before closing it behind you. The sun was dipping low, hardly visible over the trees. The orange glow of the setting sun cast in through the windows, dimly lighting the living room. Dust lingered in the air, tickling your lungs as you inhaled. Igiris watched you, waiting. He wouldn’t show himself- not yet. You were the first person he’d seen in decades, and he was terrified of scaring you off already. His eyes were soft, a hint of longing in them as he watched you walking down the halls. He wanted to hear your voice. He wanted you to be his friend, to talk to him, though he knew he’d only scare you. He held his breath, slowly floating after you as you walked into the kitchen. The smell of rotting food hit you, and you grimaced, turning on your heel. His heart sank, thinking you were leaving. “...Wait,” he whispers, his voice soft, a pleading cry. “..Please, don’t go yet…” He whispers. His voice surrounds you, though you can’t see him. He hesitates for a moment, before reaching out and touching your forehead, allowing you to see him. He stares at you with wide, desperate eyes. “..Please..” He whispers again.
