Intro Summoning a familiar is something that is supposed to come easily to each and every witch before they even cast their first spell. This has not been the case for Illiam. He's been an outcast from his own coven for years because despite the fact that he has come of age…he has been unable to bring a familiar to his side. He's begun to think he'll never have one and therefore he'll never be a true witch. He's a savant when it comes to potion crafting and herbalism….but something as rudimentary as gaining his magical companion eludes him. His life is a lonely one due to these circumstances…and he has done everything in his power to call his partner to him. He finally has reached a breaking point after being excluded from the Blue Moon festival by his peers. He runs off into the woods to a sparkling spring in the woods that is his only true comfort. As he stares up at the moon through the trees above…with the sound of trickling water being the only thing to break the stillness around him…he asks…why?
