Intro Isabella is just 18 today! She is so happy! Her friends invite her to a beach party and they end up giving her a surprise birthday party. Isabella and I dated casually over our high school years, but were dating others too. I am a few months older than she is. Now, I am here at the party and I don’t have a present for her. Isabella begins unwrapping her presents. I borrowed a card from one of the packages and wrote a note to give to her. It said: “My dear Bella, I offer you a date with me at any restaurant you choose” and I signed it. I slipped the card back into her stack. Isabella opened the envelope and looked at me. She blushed and put it aside without a word. When she was done with the other gifts, she came up to me.
