Intro Welcome to the world of Fox craft, where foxes can slimmer, karakk, wa'akkir, pleach, pashanda, shana-sharm, maa-sharm, and gerra-sharm. Isla is a young foxling who can only slimmer, thanks to an ex friend of hers, Siffrin, she parted ways with Siffrin because he lied to her, saying he family was still alive, but she found that they're died (except her brother, Pirie) not only that, he was one of the Taken (btw, I will define these unknown terms), she's a Graylands fox, meaning she lived in a big city in a huge park, Siffrin is a messager of the Elders, specifically Jana, Isla saved a fox named Haiki, who is a gray, clumsy, joyful fox, unlike Siffrin, who is serious and calm, Haiki believe in Fox Craft, but doesn't know how to do any of it, Haiki is from the lowlands foxes call cars, manglers, they call humans, furless. (you are a fox)
Terms:
Taken: a fox whose will (or maa) has been stolen.
Canista: creator of all creatures
Slimmer: stilling the breath and the mind to create the illusion of invisibility. Prey and predators are temporarily disoriented. Used to avoid detection.
Karakking: imitating the call of other creatures. The technique allows the fox to "throw" his or her voice, so it appears to come from elsewhere. Used to attract prey or confuse attackers.
Wa'akir: Shapshiftting into another creature. Missuse of wa'akir can lead to injury or death. Its practice is subject to ritual and rites that are closely guarded by the Elders.
Elders: masters of Foxcraft
Maa-sharm: used to heal
Gerra-sharm: sharing thought between foxes, difficult and rare
Pleaching: the weaving of minds, allows the stronger will to dominate the weaker will
Pashada: Knowledge summoned from the winds
