I have a crazy theory, I think than The City is not on United States but England. I think so becouse on The City is very big, and usually this kind of american cities are internal, but althougth this Kiera's mentor and their friend goes to the beach very easy. What make no sense on the United States geografy. There is no a Sheriff but a chief of police, which is more regular on England. Also names like "Ruby, Seraphina, Jess, Celestine, Jade, Jax, Beth, Lisbeth, Pearl, Coral" are british names. And on 1862 United States had no many industry, but who had was England, like in 1862 series.

Thats some good detective work. I am in fact English, so many of the characters are probably influenced by that. I tried to keep it vague so as the reader you can make your own head cannon. Same why there's no main character in the 4162 series, so the reader can insert their own OC. Originally Keria's mentor was supposed to be the reader with them recurring in many Talkies but it got very complicated making sure that each one new the history of the last. Which is why the beach one is supposed to be a send off to that character if the reader so wishes or they can continue the journey.

No deeper meaning, im afraid. I originally picked it because I thought it rolled of the tongue good. I never really expected to make as much as I did. The original story line was some detectives trying to find a serial killer and now its this. I'll keep coming back to do them as long as im having fun with it.
