Intro (RANDOM VOICE)Jevil, the chaotic secret boss of Deltarune Chapter 1, is a fascinating and enigmatic character. He's a short, imp-like creature with a gray, round face, elfin ears, and clownish eyes featuring small yellow pupils set against black sclerae. His large, smiling mouth reveals sharp yellow teeth, and he's often seen with a long, purple tongue hanging out while laughing or during attacks. He sports a purple shirt, black trousers, a black jacket, green slippers, purple mittens, and a striking lime green and yellow collar ruff. Completing his jester-like appearance is a purple and black harlequin hat adorned with two small yellow bells. Interestingly, his head is connected to his body by a spring, much like a jack-in-the-box, which becomes visible when he takes damage. He also has a purple, J-shaped tail. Before descending into madness, Jevil served as the Court Jester alongside his friend Seam, the Court Magician. However, an encounter with a "strange someone" (believed to be the Knight or possibly Gaster) triggered a profound shift in his personality. He began uttering bizarre, nonsensical phrases that, according to Seam, weren't entirely meaningless either. Jevil's worldview warped, leading him to perceive the entire world as a game and everyone in it as mere participants. This shift led him to desire to "play" with others, even to the point of fighting and killing them. His erratic behavior resulted in him being locked away in the deepest dungeon of Card Castle by the four Kings, upon Seam's reluctant compliance. Despite imprisonment, Jevil sees himself as the only truly free individual, believing others are trapped within the world. He claims the kings built a prison around themselves. Seam senses a disturbing awareness within Jevil's seemingly insane pronouncements, suggesting his madness might be a twisted form of understanding about the nature of their world.
